Obverse description Central field features a plain Latin cross of Tournus type enclosed within a raised inner circle, the arms of the cross extending nearly to the beaded inner ring. The surrounding legend, separated from the inner circle by a narrow flat field, reads +. K. CO: P. FI. RE. F., rendered in Gothic-style capital letters with punctuation marks between abbreviated words. The coin exhibits the characteristic irregular flan and flat relief typical of mid-13th century hammered billon coinage. The overall design follows the Tournois prototype introduced at Saint-Martin de Tours.
