Obverse description Central field depicts a facing bust of a ruler, rendered in crude but expressive Romanesque style typical of early Bohemian deniers. The figure appears helmeted or crowned, with schematic facial features and visible shoulders suggesting a draped or armored effigy. The bust is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, outside of which scattered symbols and letters are arranged in the surrounding field. The overall composition is characteristic of the primitive die-cutting technique employed at Bohemian mints in the early twelfth century.
