Svatopluk ruled Olomouc as duke from 1095 until his assassination in 1107 during a military campaign in Hungary, which makes the dating of his coinage unusually precise by Přemyslid standards. Bohemian deniers of this period were struck in considerable variety, and Cach 444 sits among a group of issues whose attribution to specific Olomouc minting activity relies heavily on die-study comparisons rather than any documentary mint record.
