Svatopluk ruled Olomouc as a Přemyslid duke under conditions of chronic dynastic instability — the Bohemian realm was repeatedly fractured by competing branches of the family, and his own tenure ended with his assassination in 1107 during a military campaign in Poland. Deniers attributable to his Olomouc issue are among the rarer products of the Moravian appanage mints, which operated with considerably less output than their Bohemian counterparts in Prague.
Cach 448 places this type firmly within the Olomouc sequence, though die-link studies have historically been complicated by the limited survival of specimens in documented collections.
