Obverse description Crowned royal effigy facing left, depicted in profile within a beaded inner circle; a small hoop or annulet appears before the face. The crown is rendered with three visible points. The surrounding legend reads MONETA·VNGARIE+ in Latin characters, disposed around the outer field between the beaded circle and the coin's irregular rim.

Reverse description Two birds positioned back-to-back with their heads turned inward to face each other, occupying the central field of the coin. Between the birds, a Hebrew letter alef (א) is prominently placed, with a pellet below it, serving as a mint or moneyer's mark associated with a Jewish mint master. The design is unencircled and set within a plain field, characteristic of Hungarian hammered deniers of the Árpád period.
