Reverse description Central field features a facing royal bust or crowned head of King Stephen V rendered in a highly stylized, linear fashion consistent with mid-13th-century Hungarian denár coinage. The figure is set within a beaded inner circle, with the surrounding field bearing the royal Latin legend. The inscription REX STEHANVS encircles the central device, identifying the issuing monarch. The overall design is characteristic of the crude but expressive hammered coinage of the Árpád dynasty.
