Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, three vertical lines flanked by a cross on each side, with two pellets between the lines. Above and below the central device, three outward-facing crescents are arranged symmetrically, with the central crescent on each side bearing three pellets on its outer edge. The overall composition is characteristic of the abstract, non-figural decorative style of medieval Hungarian deniers of the Árpád dynasty.
