| 正面描述 | Within a beaded inner circle, a central cross flanked by the letters A and O in the field; above the cross, three omega-shaped crescents with internal lines arranged in a row, evoking stylized decorative motifs. A single pellet is placed at the center beneath the cross. The design is contained within a plain raised border, characteristic of the debased hammered coinage of medieval Hungary. |

Stephen III came to power as a teenager and spent much of his reign fighting off rival claimants backed by the Byzantine emperor Manuel I Komnenos, who installed two successive anti-kings — his uncles Ladislaus II and Stephen IV — on the Hungarian throne. The instability meant royal finances were perpetually strained, which almost certainly contributed to the severe reduction in silver content and fabric weight seen across Hungarian coinage of this decade.
The reference clustering under CAC II and EK I reflects ongoing scholarly disagreement about precise attribution within this reign's issues.
