Aanvullende informatie

Stephen II inherited the throne as a minor following the death of his father Coloman in 1116, and his reign quickly descended into nearly continuous warfare — against Byzantium, Bohemia, and internal claimants alike. The instability almost certainly disrupted regular minting, which may explain why surviving examples of this type show significant variation in flan quality and striking depth. The cross-referencing across five separate catalog systems (ÉH, H, CAC, CNH, EK) reflects decades of scholarly disagreement over the attribution sequence for early Árpád-era deniers, much of it still unresolved.
