Obverse description Facing crowned royal effigy enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with a small cross flanking each side of the crowned head. The letter S appears as a secondary identifier associated with King Solomon. The portrait is rendered in a schematic, early medieval style typical of Árpád-dynasty hammered deniers. The circular legend surrounds the entire design within the coin's rim.
