Sobeslaus II ruled Bohemia under constant pressure from the Holy Roman Emperor Frederick Barbarossa, who had never fully accepted his claim to the Bohemian ducal throne. He was deposed in 1178, his coinage covering a reign that was politically contested from its opening year. Cach 621 is among the harder Přemyslid deniers to attribute with confidence in the field, as die-cutting quality across the type varies considerably — a product of decentralized minting practice rather than any single workshop standard.
