Reverse description The reverse depicts a plain cross with expanded terminals occupying the central field, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding outer legend reads +PARISIVS CIVITAS, identifying the mint city of Paris. The cross divides the inner field into four quadrants and is rendered in the bold, simple style typical of Capetian feudal deniers. The beaded circle acts as an inner border separating the central cross from the circumferential inscription. The hammered flan shows slight irregularity at the edges, consistent with hand-struck coinage of the period.
