Reverse description A plain cross pattée divides the reverse field into four quarters, with a prominent annulet placed in each angle, a distinctive feature of the Barcelona denier type. The arms of the cross extend to a beaded border that encircles the entire field. The four annulets are boldly struck and centrally positioned within their respective quarters, giving the design a strongly geometric and heraldic character. No legend is present on the reverse, consistent with the standard emission of this issue under Ramon Berenguer IV.
