| Obverse description | Central field occupied by the elaborate Carolingian-style monogram of Prince Radelchis I, composed of interlaced letters forming a cruciform device. The monogram is set within a circular Latin legend reading PRINCE BENEBENTI R A D E L, identifying the issuing authority.
