Reverse description Plain hammered silver surface exhibiting the characteristic incuse impression of the obverse design, consistent with the thin hammered fabric of early 12th-century Central European deniers. The field shows faint traces of the die impression with no deliberate reverse design or legend, the partial lettering AND(EB)VRC appearing as a secondary inscription associated with the Havelberg or Brandenburg mint attribution.

Additional information

Pribislav-Henry was the last Hevellian prince, a Slavic ruler who — lacking an heir — bequeathed Brandenburg to Albert the Bear of the Ascanian dynasty upon his death in 1150. That transfer effectively ended Hevellian autonomy and inaugurated the Margraviate of Brandenburg. Coins struck under his name occupy the precise hinge between Slavic tribal coinage and German feudal minting in the region.

The Bahrf#1b designation places this among the earliest catalogued varieties of his issue.
