Reverse description The reverse displays a large patriarchal or archiepiscopal cross with a double crossbar set diagonally across the field, flanked by Gothic letter-forms arranged in the quadrants, likely rendering a partial royal or mint legend. A pellet border or beaded inner circle frames the design. The die-cutting is irregular and typical of the hammered coinage produced at the Poznań mint under Louis I of Hungary, with individual letter forms showing considerable stylistic variation across die varieties.
