(Translation: Maximilian II, Roman Emperor, forever Augustus, King of Germany, Hungary, Bohemia)
Reverse description The crowned Madonna, rendered in a frontal seated posture, is depicted holding the Christ Child on her right arm. The composition is characteristic of the Patrona Hungariae devotional type, with the figure centrally placed within a beaded inner circle. The mintmark letters K and B, representing the Kremnica mint, appear divided on either side of the Madonna's figure in the field. The circumferential legend identifies the Virgin as the patron of Hungary and runs along the coin's outer border.
