Obverse description Draped bust of Philip III facing right, rendered in low relief in the crude hammered style typical of Catalan municipal coinage of the late 16th and early 17th centuries. The effigy occupies the central field, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A Latin legend encircles the bust, reading partially as +PHILIPVS·D·G·HISPA·, identifying the king by name and divine right. The overall execution is irregular, consistent with the artisanal striking methods of the period.
