Obverse description Facing frontal effigy of Archbishop Philip I of Heinsberg enthroned, vested in episcopal robes and wearing a mitre, holding a crozier in his left hand and a book (Gospel) in his right hand. The figure is rendered in a Romanesque style characteristic of 12th-century Rhenish coinage. A beaded inner border frames the design, with a Latin legend distributed around the periphery of the coin.
