Obverse description Central field occupied by the crowned shield of Savoy, bearing a plain cross, set within a beaded inner circle. A small cross pattée surmounts the crown. The surrounding Latin legend, partially visible due to the irregular flan and characteristic wear of hammered coinage, reads the duke's titulature. The overall style is consistent with late-medieval Savoyard feudal coinage of the third quarter of the fifteenth century.
