Obverse description Flat, roughly circular hammered flan bearing a bold monogram in the field composed of the letters R and X arranged in a cross-like device, with pellets and short strokes forming a decorative ligature. The design is executed in a crude but distinctive Carolingian epigraphic style characteristic of eighth-century Frankish coinage. No figurative portrait is present; the entire design field is dominated by the royal title monogram. The flan edges are irregular with a slightly toothed or beaded border remnant visible around portions of the periphery.

Obverse lettering Rx:F
(Translation: King of the Franks.)
Reverse description Flat hammered flan bearing a prominent monogram in the field formed by the interlaced letters G, R, and related strokes, representing the name Georgius rendered in a bold Carolingian ligature. Pellets are placed symmetrically within and around the monogram, a common decorative feature on Pepin-era deniers. The lettering is deeply struck in a crude, angular style typical of mid-eighth-century Frankish workshop production. No figurative imagery is present; the monogram occupies the majority of the coin's field. The flan edge is irregular, consistent with hand-hammered manufacture of the period.
