| Beschrijving keerzijde | A bold, raised Latin cross occupies the central field, its arms nearly reaching the inner border. The cross is surrounded by a circular Latin legend reading SCI CRVCIS, referencing the Holy Cross Abbey under whose authority this coinage was issued. The lettering is rendered in crude, uneven Carolingian majuscules consistent with early Frankish ecclesiastical mint production. A beaded border encircles the design along the coin's periphery. The overall composition is typical of Carolingian monastic deniers struck under royal privilege. |
