Obverse description Central device depicting a stylized heraldic helmet or head in high relief, rendered in the schematic Romanesque manner characteristic of Austrian bracteate-related pfennigs of the mid-thirteenth century. The motif is enclosed within a plain inner circle, with pellets or annulets flanking the upper portion of the device. The surrounding field is broad and unadorned, consistent with the fabric of Vienna Pfennige of the Ottokar II period. No legend or inscription is present, the design relying entirely on the central emblem for identification. The flan is irregular and thin, as is typical of hammered medieval small silver coinage.
