背面描述 The reverse displays a prominent rosette or wheel-like ornament composed of multiple radiating petals arranged symmetrically around a raised central boss, consistent with a six- or eight-petal floral motif. This decorative device fills the central field without any accompanying legend or border inscription. The relief is shallow and the design is broadly struck, typical of hammered silver small coinage of the Brandenburg Margraviate in the second half of the 14th century. The plain, undecorated surrounding field frames the motif against the irregular flan. No mint marks or additional symbols are discernible.

附加信息

Otto VIII ruled Brandenburg jointly with his brothers under the fractious Hohenzollern-predecessor Wittelsbacher succession, and the deniers struck during his margraviate reflect the monetary fragmentation typical of the mid-fourteenth-century Mark — small silver issues circulating alongside a dozen competing regional types. By the 1360s, Brandenburg's coinage authority had been so diluted by years of disputed succession and Luxemburg interference that even minor denominational output was politically freighted.

The Bahrf#691 attribution places this squarely within a catalogued die grouping rarely encountered in better than Fine.
