| 正面描述 | Frontal effigy of the Margrave standing between four Hohenzollern eagle shields, one at each diagonal quadrant, rendered in a bold, flat medieval style characteristic of late 13th-century German bracteate-influenced coinage. The figure is depicted in regal attire with arms extended, flanked symmetrically by the heraldic eagle shields. No legend is present. The design fills the entire field to the irregular hammered edge. |

Otto IV ruled Brandenburg from 1266 until his death in 1308, a tenure defined largely by territorial consolidation and the grinding fiscal demands of Ascanian expansion into Pomerania and the Neumark. Small silver deniers of this type circulated as everyday transactional currency across the March, handled by merchants, toll collectors, and landowners alike — which explains why surviving examples in any meaningful condition are genuinely uncommon.
