| Obverse lettering | +ODDO+REX (Translation: King Otto.) |
| Reverse description | The reverse bears a two-line mint inscription boldly struck across the field, reading MIMIGER on the upper line and NEFORDA on the lower, separated by a cross or annulet device, all within the coin's beaded border. The lettering is large, deeply cut, and fills most of the flan in the characteristic style of Ottonian Münster pennies. This inscription identifies the mint as Münster (Mimigernaford), the Westphalian episcopal city, and is consistent with the regional denier coinage issued under royal authority during the reign of Otto III. |
