Obverse description Central pattée cross with a pellet in each of the four angles, all contained within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding annular field is enclosed by a second beaded border near the coin's edge. The legend, reading clockwise in Roman capitals, is partially visible in the outer field between the two beaded circles. The overall design is characteristic of Ottonian hammered coinage, with bold, slightly irregular relief typical of late 10th-century Rhenish workshop production.
