| Obverse description | A plain cross with a single pellet in each of the four quarters occupies the central field, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding annular legend reads OTTO IMPERATOR, identifying the issuer as Emperor Otto II, rendered in bold Carolingian capitals characteristic of Ottonian coinage.
