Otto I ruled Olomouc as an appanage duchy under the Přemyslid system, which divided Bohemia's territories among members of the ruling family rather than consolidating them under a single heir. His reign coincided with the broader Bohemian expansion of ducal Moravia, and coins struck in his name reflect the decentralized minting authority that characterized Přemyslid peripheral territories in the late eleventh century. Cach 370 is among the more sparsely documented types in the Moravian denier sequence.
