Otto I ruled Olomouc as an appanage principality under the Přemyslid system, which fragmented Moravia into smaller duchies from the mid-eleventh century onward. Coins struck under his authority reflect the administrative reality of that arrangement — locally issued, circulating within a limited regional orbit rather than across Bohemia broadly. Cach 373 is among the better-documented pieces attributable to his mint, though die linkage studies for Moravian deniers of this period remain incomplete compared to Bohemian equivalents.
