正面描述 Central field features a facing bust of a ruler within a plain inner circle, depicted in a stylized Romanesque manner with rudimentary facial detail. The bust is unadorned and rendered in low relief, typical of Bohemian deniers of the eleventh century. A retrograde or partially garbled Latin legend reading OTTO encircles the central medallion, separated from it by a beaded or plain border. The lettering is irregularly spaced and characteristic of the crude die-cutting of the period. The overall design reflects the primitive yet distinctive artistic style of Moravian hammered coinage under Otto I of Olomouc.

附加信息

Otto I ruled Olomouc as an appanage principality under the Přemyslid dynasty during a period when Bohemia's internal divisions produced a proliferation of regional coinages, each minor court asserting fiscal independence through its own mint output. His deniers are among the earliest attributable issues from the Olomouc mint, predating the administrative consolidation that would eventually suppress provincial coinage in favor of centralized Bohemian production.

Cach 376 is a scarce type. The thin fabric and irregular flan shape characteristic of this issue reflect the technical limitations of Moravian minting at the time, not careless production.
