Obverse description Within a plain inner circle, a plain cross with a pellet in the upper left canton, characteristic of the Carolingian-derived denier tradition. The cross divides the inner field into four quarters. A beaded inner border separates the central motif from the surrounding legend, which runs clockwise in crude Romanesque lettering typical of 11th-century ecclesiastical minting in southern France.

Reverse description Central field features a triangular arrangement of letters — comprising a V or A and associated characters including O and X — evoking a monogram or votive symbol of the abbey. The design is enclosed within a plain inner circle with a beaded border, beyond which the surrounding legend is struck in the irregular, somewhat crude letterforms characteristic of 11th-century hammered provincial ecclesiastical coinage.
