| Beschrijving keerzijde | A long cross pattée occupies the full field, its arms extending to the beaded inner circle and dividing the surrounding legend into four quadrants. A small fleur-de-lis appears in the quadrant adjacent to the CO portion of the legend, serving as a decorative and possibly identifying mark. The legend, rendered in uncial lettering, invokes the name of the Frankish king Conrad, a traditional honorific reference maintained on Genoese coinage long after his reign. The overall style is consistent with the crude, hand-struck workmanship characteristic of Genoese small denomination medieval billon issues. |
