Obverse description Central field displays the crowned Hungarian arms — a vertically divided shield bearing the characteristic horizontal stripes of Hungary on the dexter side and the patriarchal or apostolic double cross on the sinister side — surmounted by the Hungarian royal crown. The mint mark 'K-B' (Körmöcbánya/Kremnica) appears to the lower right of the shield. The surrounding circular legend reads the royal title of Matthias II with the regnal numeral and date, all in Latin script, partially visible due to the irregularity of the hammered flan.
