Obverse description Central field displays a lion passant to the right in a primitive Romanesque style characteristic of mid-13th century feudal coinage, its body rendered in low relief with a curving tail raised above the haunches. A crescent or similar heraldic device appears in the upper left field. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner border, with a further beaded outer border following the irregular flan edge. The workmanship is typical of hammered baronial deniers of the Lorraine region.

Reverse description Central field features a heraldic shield rendered in low relief, charged with an eagle displayed to the left and a bend or similar device, consistent with the arms associated with the lords of Sierck. The shield is surmounted by a small ornamental element. The surrounding legend in Latin characters reads .C I RK ES., denoting the mint or seigneurial seat of Sierck. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border following the contour of the irregular flan, typical of mid-13th century hammered feudal coinage.
