Obverse description Equestrian figure of the archbishop depicted in profile facing right, shown mounted on a horse within a beaded inner circle. The rider appears robed and holds a staff or crozier, rendered in the crude yet expressive Romanesque style typical of 11th-century French ecclesiastical coinage. The Latin legend surrounding the central device reads AIA SES ARCHIPRESVL, identifying the issuer as Archbishop Manasses. The flan is irregular and shows characteristic hammered fabric with uneven surfaces.
