| Obverse description | Equestrian figure of the archbishop depicted in profile facing right, shown mounted on a horse within a beaded inner circle. The rider appears robed and holds a staff or crozier, rendered in the crude yet expressive Romanesque style typical of 11th-century French ecclesiastical coinage. The Latin legend surrounding the central device reads AIA SES ARCHIPRESVL, identifying the issuer as Archbishop Manasses.
