Obverse description Central cross pattée, the four cantons each containing a symbol: two omega letters, the letter S, and the letter T, arranged around the cross arms. The surrounding circular legend reads LODEVEI REX in debased Latin characters. The overall style is characteristic of early Capetian hammered coinage, with irregular flan and somewhat crude die-engraving typical of the period.

Reverse description A stylized representation of a church or chapel depicted in schematic architectural form, consisting of a central tower or nave flanked by lateral elements, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. Small ring ornaments appear at the center and on each side of the structure. The surrounding legend reads MONSTEROLV, identifying the Montreuil mint, with a leading pellet or star. The architectural motif is rendered in the simplified Romanesque style characteristic of Capetian royal deniers of the early 12th century.
