Obverse description Central cross pattée with plain arms set within a beaded inner circle, dividing the field into four equal quadrants. The cross is boldly struck in the Tournois tradition, with slightly flared terminals typical of Frankish Achaean coinage. A circular legend in uncial Latin characters surrounds the inner circle, reading the ruler's name and title. The overall composition follows the obverse type of the French denier tournois, adapted for the Principality of Achaea under Louis of Burgundy.
