| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse displays the mint name LVCA in large, bold Carolingian capital letters occupying the central field, identifying the issuing mint of Lucca in Tuscany. The lettering is broad and well-spaced, characteristic of the Lucca workshop's die-cutting style under Louis the Pious. A beaded border encircles the design, visible particularly along the upper portion of the flan. The field is otherwise plain and unadorned, with no additional symbols or decorative elements. The flan is irregular in shape, as is typical of hammered silver deniers of this period. |
