| Obverse description | Central field displays a stylized eagle rendered in a bold, schematic manner characteristic of medieval Brandenburg bracteate-influenced coinage. The bird's form is highly abstracted, with broad spread wings and a pronounced beak visible toward the upper portion of the flan. The design fills the irregular flan with little remaining field visible, and the overall execution reflects the crude but vigorous hammered style typical of mid-14th century North German pfennig coinage. No legible legend is present on this side. |
