Obverse description Full-length frontal effigy of King Louis I (Nagy Lajos) standing, crowned, wearing royal robes, holding a sceptre in his right hand and a globus cruciger surmounted by a patriarchal cross in his left hand. A mintmark appears to the left of the figure in the field. The flan is irregular, characteristic of medieval hammered coinage.
