Reverse description The reverse depicts the Dextera Domini — the blessing hand of God extended downward from above — accompanied by two stars in the field to the right, a common devotional motif on Ottonian-period deniers. The design is enclosed within a beaded circle, with the abbreviated Latin legend distributed around the periphery. The crude but expressive style is consistent with north German hammered silver coinage of the mid-to-late eleventh century.
