| Beschrijving voorzijde | A plain cross with equal arms occupies the center of the coin, enclosed within a raised inner circle or ring. Radiating lines emanate outward from this inner circle toward the coin's periphery, imparting a solar or wheel-like appearance to the field. The circular Latin legend surrounding the central motif reads HLOTHARIVS IMP AV, identifying the issuer as Emperor Lothair Augustus.
