| Obverse description | A stylized fleur-de-lis (lily) occupies the center of the field, rendered in low relief in the characteristic medieval hammered style. The design is bold and schematic, with the three petals of the lily clearly articulated against a plain, unlettered field. No legend or inscription surrounds the central motif. The flan is irregular and slightly concave, consistent with hand-struck billon issues of the 14th century. Some specimens of this type feature pellets flanking the lily stem, distinguishing the variety Dann Po. 191a from the plain-stemmed Dann Po. 191. |
