| 正面描述 | Central field features the Hungarian coat of arms rendered as a horizontally striped shield, depicting the traditional Árpád stripes in four horizontal bars within a rectangular frame. The shield occupies the majority of the flan and is rendered in the medieval heraldic style typical of hammered Hungarian deniers. A circular legend surrounds the central device, separated by a beaded or rope inner border. The overall style is consistent with mid-15th century Hungarian regal coinage struck under regency authority. |

Ladislaus V — Ladislaus Posthumus — was literally unborn when his father Albert II died in 1439, leaving Hungary without a king and the regency in violent dispute. John Hunyadi governed as regent from 1446, the same year this denier was struck, wielding effective control of the kingdom while the child-king remained in Habsburg custody in Vienna. The coinage issued under Ladislaus V during this period reflects an administration run entirely by proxy.
