Reverse description Central device depicts a displayed eagle, wings spread outward and downward, rendered in the bold, schematic style typical of hammered medieval Hungarian deniers. The eagle stands with talons visible below, its head facing to the right, and a crown or crest atop its head. The design is contained within a plain inner circle, with a beaded or toothed outer border. The circumferential legend in Latin uncial script reads +REGIS·VNGARIE·ET·CETERA, identifying the issuer as King of Hungary and so forth. The striking is characteristic of irregular hammered flan production, with moderate relief and natural surface patination.
