Obverse description Frontal bust of a figure, likely a stylized royal or ecclesiastical personage, rendered in the crude Romanesque manner typical of early Polish medieval coinage. The figure appears draped, with a broad face and large eyes. To the right of the bust is a large letter 'Z', possibly a mint or ruler's initial. The design is enclosed within a beaded border running along the coin's irregular periphery.
