| 裏面の説明 | The reverse displays a stylized four-petalled rosette or quatrefoil motif set within a raised circular border, rendered in low but distinct relief. The quatrefoil design is composed of four rounded lobes meeting at a central point, with a small pellet or boss at the center. The field surrounding the quatrefoil is plain and unlettered, with no additional legend or inscription. The border consists of a smooth raised ring enclosing the central design, set within the plain coin flan. Variants of this type are distinguished by the presence of either four dots or four wedges in the reverse field. |

Ladislaus II ruled for barely a year, installed as a Hungarian anti-king backed by Holy Roman Emperor Frederick Barbarossa against the legitimate Árpád claimant Stephen III. His reign collapsed when Byzantine support shifted the balance back — he died in early 1163, leaving this issue among the shortest-reigned coinage in the medieval Hungarian series. The three reference concordances attest to scholarly attention disproportionate to the ruler's historical footprint.
