| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field features a stylised city monogram of Rome, composed of interlaced letters in bold raised relief, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The monogram follows the same Carolingian interlace tradition as the obverse, referencing the city of Rome as the seat of papal authority. A circular Latin legend surrounds the beaded border, reading ROMA SCS PETRVS, invoking Rome and Saint Peter, the patron of the see. The irregular flan and variable strike are consistent with hammered production at the Roman mint under pontifical authority.
