Reverse description A plain sword pointing downward divides an inner circle into two halves, its hilt visible at the top of the field. The sword serves as the principal charge, referencing the temporal authority of the bishop. The legend MONETA is distributed around the inner circle within a beaded outer border, typical of Lotharingian episcopal deniers of the early fourteenth century.
